Humility

If you are to be truly humble, you must never cease
to
reproach yourself. You must actively pursue a humble heart, and imitate,
even embrace the sufferings of Christ. Without the virtue of humility,
there can be no salvation. Without
humility your effort is useless. Humility bestows peace in your heart, because Christ
dwells within you. Through humility grace remains within you and God's gifts are
preserved.

The Wickedness of Judah
2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth!
For the Lord has spoken:
“I have nourished and brought up children,
And they have rebelled against Me; 3 The ox knows its owner
And the donkey its master’s crib;
But Israel does not know, My people do not consider.”

6 To understand a proverb and an enigma,
The words of the wise and their riddles.
7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction.
