Acquire Peace
Each day we must commit ourselves anew to showing forth the Light of Christ from our own hearts. We must cultivate love and trust with everyone with whom we come in contact, and we must especially be aware of those who seem to be slipping into the dark places, assuring them of God's love, and of our own. No one should be allowed to go it alone. As Saint Seraphim of Sarov said, "Acquire peace, and a thousand around you will be saved".

It is our joy as a monastic community to have our beloved Metropolitan Hillarion, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, staying with us for a few days. Having His Eminence serve in our altar, share our table, and visit with us in our library, has been an encouragement for us.
